Challenge

As they aggressively contended with the sudden iPod domination of the digital music experience, Sony released their new entrants into the product category that targeted specific end users and explored their exact needs in a digital music player. With the release of the NW-E300 (more commonly referred to as “the Bean”) Sony hoped to appeal to the female market with its astute ergonomic design and long-lasting battery life.

Solution

IDEA II developed a series of online ads that highlighted the enhanced style and performance of the new Bean player. And, where applicable, we also demonstrated the product’s chameleon-like nature by allowing the user to toggle through the different available color options.
