Intel Core 2 Duo Video
Challenge
Intel launched its latest chip, the Core 2 Duo, in mid-2006. As part of this launch, Intel was able to reclaim its performance edge over its closest rival, AMD. The challenge facing the IDEA II team was to create a presentation that showcased the speed of the new Core 2 Duo chips and generates consumer awareness and preference for the new chips.
Solution
IDEA II presented “Fast”, a concept consisting of a flurry of videos, each featuring an image of something considered to be undeniably fast. Through the use of AfterEffects, IDEA II was able to process and edit video footage from varied sources including video from Intel’s partnership with the BMW-Sauber Formula 1 team. A Flash application was then created to stream the multimedia presentation to the end-user. The video was placed throughout Intel’s channels (zipzoomfly.com, mwave.com, etc.) on product and landing pages for the new processors.
