Good news in the application area folks, I've managed to accomplish a gifting section! Please hold your applause. I still have to figure out how to put it on someone else's feed and then notify them of it, but it shows up on my news feed at least so I'm doing something right! I must say, not to toot my own horn, but I am quite proud of myself.
