Young Texans Against Cancer, Website Redesign

Client:
Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) is a start-up, nonprofit organization comprised of young men and women affected directly or indirectly by cancer, who actively support the cancer community through the following efforts: Raising funds to help support research-based and small- to medium-sized organizations, increasing support for volunteer organizations and educating our community about cancer research.

Challenge:
As a small non-profit organization, YTAC lacked the funds to create a well designed, user-friendly website.

Solution:
Idea agreed to assist YTAC in their website redesign as part of its quarterly pro-bono project for the second quarter of 2007. Idea completely redesigned the site using best practices in information architecture, creative design and usability. The website has become accessible, easier to navigate and is now 508 compliant. YTAC.org launched May 25, 2007 with the purpose of increasing awareness and membership. Future plans include the incorporation of online registration for membership opportunities and events.
