Microsoft Advertising Rebrand

Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions (MDAS) is the online advertising offering from Microsoft. The group enables advertisers to reach and engage with their target audiences across multiple digital touch points—and optimize their advertising impact through our world-class partnership services. By helping advertisers reach their target audiences wherever and whenever they use digital media, they provide enhanced business success.
Challenge:
Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions group came to Idea seeking assistance implementing its new brand initiative. With the acquisition of multiple properties and expansion into multiple advertising channels across a large number of properties (and a direct paid search offering), a refreshed brand was needed to better communicate the breadth and value of Microsoft Advertising to its target audience.
Solution:
Idea worked closely with Microsoft stakeholders to develop a new brand Style Guide covering areas as diverse as logo usage, tone and messaging and specific brand element implementation across diverse deliverables including business cards, trade show booths, print media, online ads and many more. In addition to the style guide, Idea was intimately involved with rebranding the Microsoft Advertising website, located at http://advertising.microsoft.com. From creative concepts to graphic production, as well as revised copy, Idea helped deliver a fully rebranded website on a tight deadline.
