Technical Account Executive

The ambassador of an agency in its relationship with a client, The Technical Account Executive serves a triple role as the delivery liaison, trusted advisor and the eyes and ears of the agency's management team. When assigned to specific clients, the Technical Account Executive's duties can vary from advising the client on specific programs to working with internal team members to completing projects on time and within the allocated budget. Our Technical Account Executive is responsible for reflecting client needs and vision and ensuring final acceptance of the agency's solution.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor the development of projects in accordance with the client’s business and strategic objectives and budget limitations
  • Manage client expectations
  • Follow established agency processes and methodologies for project workflow, communication and documentation
  • Clearly communicate client’s needs, objectives and budgets to the internal teams for all client assignments
  • Develop strategic creative/project briefs for client assignments
  • Prepare informative and accurate conference reports and/or other memoranda as they relate to client assignments and have them promptly distributed to all concerned
  • Maintain a current and intensive knowledge of the client’s business, including competitive analysis/activities, marketing and advertising plans
  • Keep Solutions Managers and the Account personnel appropriately involved and informed on all major aspects on the account in a timely manner
  • Help ensure successful completion of client assignments
  • Plan and execute assignment activities
  • Coordinate assignment activities
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions
  • Observe and maintain project timelines
  • Adhere to budget guidelines/constraints
  • Maintain an open rapport and build relationships with client decision-makers
  • Demonstrate the desire to learn and grow within the industry/community
  • Communicate the full range of Idea’s services to potential clients
  • Ability to identify potential new business leads
  • Position may require long hours, some weekend work, and some travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (Business/Technology/Management) with at least 4 years of account service experience preferred
  • Experience with technology-centric projects required
  • Advertising (Client Side) or Agency experience required
  • Prior web design or development experience required
  • Detailed knowledge of web design best practices, principles and terminology
  • Familiarity with industry standard web design initiatives and deliverables (sitemaps, wireframes, SEO, SEM)
  • Technical skills and /or certifications a plus
  • Understanding complex data structures and logic
  • Strong XML knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Flash development
  • Familiarity with scripting (JavaScript, PHP, ActionScript)
  • HTML, CSS, Front end development knowledge
  • Experience with interactive direct marketing and testing and back-end analytics is preferred
