Senior Flash Designer

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Designer (emphasis in Flash) for our Houston office. Flash animation figures prominently into many of the solutions developed for IDEA II clients. Inspired by the latest flash technology, IDEA II flash designers implement cutting edge animation to build complete flash web sites; incorporate flash animation elements into existing web pages, online banner ads, CD-ROMs, videos and desktop applications that expertly and efficiently accomplish client goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement latest online advertising trends to create rich and impactful creative pieces
  • Create storyboards and animating concepts and execute concept to the end stage
  • Leverage corporate brand messaging and visual identity
  • Adhere to design and branding standards as well as marketing goals in the execution of design concepts
  • Work with designers to execute concepts into other forms
  • Work closely with creative director, other designers, writers, and account services team
  • Must be able to keep a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Manages time effectively while working on multiple project timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in design-related field or equivalent experience (3-6 years online/Web experience)
  • Strong layout, typography, motion graphic and interaction design skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and proofing skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash are required (After Effects is a plus)
  • Must have a strong, diverse portfolio that match brand and beauty, as well as embody a strong passion for design
  • Portfolio must also include flash design work, preferably in online advertising
  • ActionScript knowledge is not required, but experience in using basic functionality preferred
