Production Manager

The Production Manager is the linchpin for the myriad production activities that occur in a fast moving and deadline-driven agency environment. This is the person that keeps the trains running on time. Reporting directly to the Executive Creative Director, the production manager brings a calm, diplomatic but pro-active demeanor to their responsibilities; this role provides the behind-the-scenes help that enables the creative team to deliver award-winning interactive solutions that are on-target, on-time, and on-schedule. The Production Manager’s responsibilities include the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Ownership and maintenance of daily/weekly departmental project schedules as well as development of weekly and daily production schedule forecasts
  • Provide general coordination and support for project activities
  • Maintain resource utilization levels to departmental goals
  • Administer and maintain transactional documentation for contractors including management of cost factors
  • Oversee departmental estimation and ensure efficient flow of departmental pre-sales support in consultation with creative leadership team and relevant Sales managers
  • Administer and maintain up-to-date repository for departmental estimation and pre-sales support
  • Administer and maintain up-to-date repository for departmental deliverables
  • Develop strong familiarity with departmental capabilities and map against individual resource skill-sets
  • Help oversee and enforce departmental processes and best-practices
  • Coordinate with creative leadership, and resources to maintain project profitability
  • Oversee scheduling of production tasks and monitor milestones and priorities to ensure departmental efficiency and proper delivery
  • Communicate with entire team individually and in regular status meetings to maintain clear efficient flow of information
  • Track projects and report status to creative leadership
  • Assists leadership team in identifying key bottlenecks, issues and proposes solutions
  • Assist leadership team in conflict resolution

Qualifications:

  • Advertising (Client Side) or agency experience required
  • Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with interactive or digital space is mandatory
