Creative Director
The Creative Director oversees all aspects of the assigned client accounts including developing concepts, design, and functionality of new media projects from inception to completion. The Creative Director keeps abreast of the latest technology and tools, usability, and design methodologies.
Essential Functions:
- Develop concepts, design, and functionality of new media projects
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and tools, usability, and design methodologies
- Work with Project Managers to determine project requirements
- Creative deliverables
- Creative briefs
- Provide cost / resource estimates for creative projects
- Provide strategic consulting to clients as it relates to all creative solutions
- Manage creative team on strategic accounts including art directors, designers, and copywriters
- Lead and direct the creative direction within accounts
- Manage quality assurance of outgoing work
- Ensure that the strategy and execution of design adheres to branding standards as well as marketing goals
- Work closely with account services, user experience, site building, marketing and sales teams
- Interface with clients to present concepts, strategy and initiate projects
- Help manage team workload, budget, and mentors creative team within accounts
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and tools, usability, and design methodologies
- Assess training needs and conduct performance evaluations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in design-related field or equivalent experience (9+ years including online/Web experience)
- Minimum 2 years experience as CD in an agency environment
- Delivering award-winning creative for Fortune 500 companies
- Leading strategic brainstorming sessions and campaign development
- Planning creative execution and developing effective creative briefs
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and proofing skills
- Strong leadership skills and familiarity with sound management practices
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Flash are required (After Effects is a plus)
- Strong portfolio with a demonstrable range of work
