Account Manager

Account Managers rely on their depth of knowledge for solving problems for the agency’s clients, maintain a friendly and profitable relationships. Account Managers duties fall in line with development of the staff, day-to-day supervision and monitoring of the agency Account Executives, and the strategic development and implementation of client programs within budgetary guidelines. An Account Manager guides Marketing, Creative, Media and Production activities and participates in securing client approval of cost estimates and overall contract negotiation. As a Senior Manager the Account Manager participates in the acquisition of new clients as a member of the new business team. With a keen understanding of the realities of agency competition, insures maximum cost-effectiveness for clients and relentlessly pursues the achievement of client goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Create enduring relationships with clients
  • Responsible for Account Growth and Development
  • Responsible for Profitability
  • Ensure on-time/on-budget delivery of work
  • Acts as an escalation point-of-contact for client/AE relationship
  • Maintain daily client contact: ensure clear and proper/effective input from client and properly manage client expectations - with minimal oversight
  • Communicate new developments and trends in Internet and clients' industries, and incorporate them into campaigns or monthly meetings
  • Build strong relationships with internal Media, Creative, and Analytics departments
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of clients' target audiences, industries and competition, utilizing our research tools and client input
  • Develop creative communication briefs
  • Provide proactive solutions to clients' business
  • Help build Idea II as a great place to work
  • Take responsibility for your staff's growth and development
  • Write and perform Account Executive Reviews
  • Utilize training budget to attend conferences and seminars to enhance skill set

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Advertising or Agency experience required.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years account service/marketing experience required.
  • Experience Managing accounts larger than $1MM in service fees. (Media fees excluded)
  • The ideal candidate will be very well-versed in dealing with a wide variety of marketing campaigns
  • Experience with interactive direct marketing and testing and back-end analytics preferred.
